Showers and Lounges at Montreal Airport

There are no free public showers at Montréal-Trudeau, and no pay-per-use shower facility outside the lounges. If you need to freshen up or rest between flights, the choice is a lounge with the right access, or a hotel. Here is the map.

Lounges by sector

International (everywhere except the U.S.): the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge near gate 57 is the flagship, open from early morning to late evening, and it has showers. The Desjardins Odyssey Lounge, operated with Plaza Premium, is near gate 63. The Aspire Lounge between gates 52 and 53 opens from 4:00 am and accepts Priority Pass.

Transborder (U.S. flights, after preclearance): a Maple Leaf Lounge near gate 73 (no showers) and a Desjardins Odyssey Lounge near gate 76.

Domestic: a Maple Leaf Lounge, plus the Aspire lounge across from Gate 1, which accepts Priority Pass and several card-based lounge programmes.

Access rules are the usual mix: business-class tickets and airline status for the Maple Leaf Lounges, eligible Desjardins cards for the Odyssey lounges, and Priority Pass, day passes or card programmes for the Aspire lounges. Opening hours shift with flight schedules, so verify on the day.

Showers: the honest picture

Showers exist in the international Maple Leaf Lounge; elsewhere, availability is limited to none, and the transborder Maple Leaf Lounge specifically has no showers. Arriving from a red-eye without lounge access, the fastest real shower is at a hotel: the Marriott In-Terminal Hotel connected to the terminal (ask about layover arrangements), or the Sheraton, a free shuttle ride away every 30 minutes.

Lounge or hotel?

Under four hours between flights, a lounge wins on speed. Beyond that, a day-room arrangement delivers a bed and private bathroom for not much more than two lounge entries, and an overnight stop belongs to the hotels outright.
